Here at NZProtein we always strive to be the best at what we do. We invest heavily in research and development to have innovative products and the best flavours.
We periodically receive requests from people asking us questions such as
- Do we test our products for banned substances?
- What's the heavy metal content for pea protein?
- Can you certify the protein content?
In response to these requests we will now commence periodic batch testing of products by third party laboratories.
Our website developer is adding a tab to product pages in which we will be able to display testing reports, so this will be coming soon.
At the time of writing this, we have already tested pea protein for heavy metals and that report is displayed at the bottom of the pea protein page:
We have also just tested some products at random for banned substances (IE, for athletes who are drug tested). So far these products are our Creatine, NZ Whey (gourmet vanilla flavour), NZ Whey Isolate (gourmet vanilla flavour), and Pea Isolate (gourmet vanilla flavour).
Please note that we will not be able to test every flavour due to the costs - there are simply too many flavours (for example in the NZ alone Whey we have over 20) and various batches manufactured. It is not practicable to test every flavour in every batch but we will periodically submit samples in various flavours for testing.
