Hemp protein powder is a plant protein and nutritional powerhouse!

It's made from dehulled hemp seeds (also known as hemp hearts) so is naturally pale in colour, and not green.

Being made from hemp hearts means that it's great for smoothies and in recipes.

Hemp is a rich source of protein, essential omega fatty acids, dietary fibre, minerals, antioxidants and phyto-nutrients that can benefit your health.

Each sachet contains one serving (31.25g). Mix entire sachet with ~200-300ml of liquid. We recommend hemp protein for use in smoothies and baking more-so than for post exercise nutrition. (There are plenty of other options available for that)!

Shipping was super efficient and simple. The sample itself exceeded my expectations as it really is unflavoured, making it smooth to mix in a smoothie, oats, baking, etc. Feels light and easy to digest. I've ended up purchasing the 1kg bag. Really happy with the service and purchase!

Added it to my usual smoothie (half banana, mixed berries, oats and kale/spinach, water). Couldn't really taste it so great way to add some extra protein. Will buy 1kg

Really fine texture for a hemp protein - I use it sprinkled on my muesli with yoghurt and milk. I love the natural slightly nutty taste of hemp so prefer the plain version to the vanilla one, but they are both great!

Really yucky taste. I really wanted to like it but it had a really strong bitter taste that overpowered everything else. NZPROTEIN REPLY: hemp does have a strong taste. If you can't overcome it in a smoothie we recommend the faba or pea protein :)

Surprised by how nice this protein powder was. I have tried previous hemp protein and the hemp flavour tends to be over powering. This stuff was very nice in vanilla and mixes well. Would recommend!

First time trying a plant based protein powder and I was very impressed! The hemp powder has a nutty taste which goes really well with either milk or water.

Unfortunately I didn’t like the taste. Awesome service with very quick delivery though! NZPROTEIN REPLY: hemp is more of a smoothie protein. We don't suggest having it on its own - there are better suited shakes for that, such as pea.

This hemp protein was so very much better than any of the pea proteins I tried! It still had an earthy taste (I think I ordered vanilla, wish this site would display the flavour). Flavour out of 10, I'd give it about 4.5, so it was drinkable for me. Good if you really want to get away from whey powders.

We stand firmly behind our products so we have commenced periodic batch testing of products by independent third party laboratories. These test reports will provide further evidence of the standards we adhere to.

Please note that we will not be able to test every flavour due to the costs - there are simply too many flavours and various batches manufactured. For example, in the NZ Whey alone we have over 20 flavours, so it is not practicable to test every flavour in every batch but we will periodically submit samples in various flavours for analysis.
